Tinubu hails Kumuyi at 85, praises global Christian impact
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, as he marks his 85th birthday on June 6, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Kumuyi as a remarkable servant of God whose life of faith, wisdom and dedication has shaped a global ministry for more than five decades.
Tinubu noted that as the convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), the cleric’s message has reached millions across national and international borders, offering hope, encouragement and spiritual guidance.
According to the President, Kumuyi’s writings and teachings have continued to inspire individuals, strengthen families and influence generations of believers worldwide.
He further stated that the pastor’s ministry has had a lasting impact on lives, restoring hope and reinforcing moral values within and beyond Nigeria.
“On this special day, I pray that Almighty God continues to grant you strength, divine health, peace, and abundant grace,” the President said.
The President also commended Kumuyi’s decades-long commitment to spreading the Christian faith and providing spiritual direction to adherents globally.
