Transcorp Hilton labels water crisis reports misleading
Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports circulating on social media regarding a water supply disruption at the hotel, describing the claims as misleading.
In a statement released on Thursday, the hotel confirmed that there was a brief one-day interruption in water supply, which resulted from emergency maintenance work carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB), beginning on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Management explained that contingency measures were immediately activated to ensure uninterrupted services and maintain guest comfort during the period of the disruption.
According to the statement, water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and has since remained stable across all facilities.
The hotel also dismissed reports suggesting ongoing water shortages, insisting that its operations have continued at full capacity across all outlets.
“We appreciate the understanding and support of our guests and stakeholders. Transcorp Hilton Abuja remains committed to delivering the highest standards of hospitality and guest experience,” the management said.
