UNIUYO begins 2026/2027 Post-UTME, Direct Entry screening registration

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced the commencement of registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution.

Eligibility

The screening exercise is open to:

Candidates who selected the University of Uyo as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 150 and above.

Candidates who chose the university as their first choice in the 2026 Direct Entry admission process.

Application Fee

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₦2,000 through the university’s admission portal.

How to Apply

Applicants should complete their registration by following these steps:

1. Visit the University of Uyo admissions portal.

2. Click on “Admissions Portal” or go directly to the admissions page.

3. Select “Apply Now.”

4. First-time users should create an account and verify their email address.

5. Log in, select the appropriate application category (Post-UTME or Direct Entry), and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).

6. Make payment online or at any commercial bank using the generated RRR.

7. Return to the portal to confirm payment.

8. Complete and submit the online application form.

9. Print the 2026/2027 Screening Exercise Slip after successful registration.

Requirements

Applicants are expected to:

Complete the online biodata form accurately.

Submit only one application.

Be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026.

Upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS on or before August 31, 2026, and click “Refresh” after uploading to ensure the results reflect on CAPS.

Direct Entry candidates are also required to scan and upload their original higher academic qualification.

Important Information

The university warned that candidates who submit incorrect or inconsistent biodata will be automatically disqualified.

It also stated that applicants who fail to register for the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission.

However, foreign candidates, inmates of correctional centres, as well as blind and deaf candidates, are exempted from the screening exercise.

Candidates awaiting the release of their O’Level results are also eligible to apply.

Applicants are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period and ensure all required information is correctly uploaded to avoid disqualification.
